IMAGE*INATION Winners for 2014

 

Recently the Catawba Valley Camera Club has announced the winners of its photographic competition IMAGE*INATION at a reception at the Hickory Museum of Art.  This annual competition was open to everyone except Catawba Camera Club members.  There were two divisions:  seventeen and under and eighteen and above with cash prizes for the winners.  First, second. third and honorable mention were selected in each age group.  Also selected was the Best of Show photograph.

The over eighteen Division winners were:

 

First place:  Nathan Phelps with an image entitled “Fire Fighter”

Second place:  Charles W. Lindsay  with an image entitled “San Juan Gold”

Third place:  Mark Erikson  with an image entitled “Sunbathing Frog”

Honorable Mention:  Kim Steele  with an image entitled “Iris in Fukushima”

The under eighteen Division winners were:

 

First place:  Zoee May  with an image entitled “Self Portrait”

Second Place:  Mary Minton with an image entitled “Baby”

Third Place:  Jesse Luffman  with an image entitled “Abandoned Hope on the Sea of Dreams”

Catawba Valley Camera Club Photo Competition Winners 2011

The Catawba Valley Camera Club hosted a reception and awards presentation for its fifth annual photo competition, IMAGE*INATION, at the Hickory Museum of Art on Friday, January 6, 2012 announced the winners.  Their photos will be on display at the museum until March 30.

The competition was open to everyone except Catawba Camera Club members.  There were two divisions:  seventeen and under and eighteen and above.  There were cash prizes for the winners.  First, second. third and honorable mention were selected in each age group.  Also selected was the Best of Show photograph.

Best of Show won by Doreen Sugierski: with the image  “Charlotte Skyline and Amtrak”.

The over eighteen Division winners were:

First place: Kim Fearheiley with an image entitled “The Swings”

Second place: Doreen Sugierski with an image entitled “Graffiti Bug”

Third place: Luke Walsh with an image entitled “Family Tree”

Honorable Mention: Fred Kelly with an image entitled “Man Using Sextant at Sea”

The under eighteen Division winners were:

First place: Olivia Kelly with an image entitled “Lucas”

Second Place: Angela Lo with an image entitled “Building”

Third Place: Cathiryn Frye with an image entitled “Kool-Aid in Sunlight”

Winners of the 2011 Image*ination Photo Contest

during January and February beginning Friday, January 8, 2010.

The Catawba Valley Camera Club hosted a reception and awards presentation for its fourth annual photo competition, IMAGE*INATION, at the Hickory Museum of Art on Friday, February 4, 2011. The annual completion is open to youth, 13 to 17, and amateur adults. Winning photographers receive cash prizes. Their photos will be on display at the museum until March 27.

First Place: “Head over Heels” by Craig Anthony;

Second Place:” Butterfly at Mast Farm” by Ted Alley;

Catawba Valley Camera Club Photo Imag*ination Competition Winners 2009

The winners of the Image-Ination Contest offered for youth and adult amateur photographers were presented with their awards at a reception held January 8, 2010 at the Hickory Museum of Art.  It is noteworthy that the “Best of Show” was awarded to a youth. The winning images will be in exhibition in the “Windows” Gallery of the Art Museum just off the Coe Galley until February 28. They are accompanied by the three Camera Club annual winners.

    The entry form for the 2017 Image*ination Photo Competition is for 2016. The Divisions on the Entry Form are different from the ones put on the Entry Rules. How do would we fill them out?

  2. It has been changed to the 2017 Entry form as of FEB 6, 2017. Sorry for any inconvience.
